In fact, it has been around for many centuries. Over 2500 years ago, the great philosopher Hippocrates said: \u201clet food be your medicine and medicine be your food\u201d. That message is just as true today, as it was then.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Using food as preventative medicine has become increasingly popular amongst those seeking to approach their health in a more holistic way. People are beginning to take charge of their own health. Accessibility to healthcare, whether that be physical or financial, is at the forefront of many political discussions. The rising costs of healthcare mean that many people go without. There is room to begin to bridge this gap in access, by educating people on the benefits of certain foods, and how to incorporate them into a healthy diet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>There are different ways to help incorporate food as medicine, but it always begins with mindful eating.
